Esther Neel is a theatre director and artist based in Lexington, Kentucky.

With a background in scenic art, Esther is able to bring a unique perspective into her directing to create a cohesive and compelling production. She spent time as the Charge Scenic Artist at both Wagon Wheel Center for The Arts and Lexington Children’s Theatre. 

Esther worked for many years as Associate Director for Lexington Children’s Theatre. She has directed several shows including the world premiere of The Ghosts of Pineville and assistant directed the world premieres of The Princess and the Peas and The Ugly Duckling. Esther has also directed shows with The Lost Colony, including the North American premiere of The Hunting of The Snark

Esther has a passion for storytelling and working with young people and adults to create theatre that is both educational and inspiring.
